Hehehe... 's ok. Now, if you'd been popping in from the Jersey, Philly, or Long Island boards... *shudder*

I was more surprised about Waterloo, myself.

And I was shocked that Cedar Rapids was expected to be #1 in job growth this year out of all the large metros. I can't think of any particular reason why this would be, unless it has something to do with the flood?

Cedar Rapids was also ranked #13 overall for metros above 200,000. Omaha was #5 I think. Either way, great representation by the Midwest and especially Iowa.

Potential job growth. Whether that comes true will have to be seen, but you have to admit that Cedar Rapids has incredible potential.

I'm quite surprised by Waterloo as well, but I honestly don't see it panning out well for them. I currently go to UNI and I haven't enjoyed my trips to Waterloo too much considering there's not much there. The only summer I lived there, both I and my roommate had our vehicles broken into. Once in our own driveway and another was downtown. I definitely expected DM, CR and IC to be on the list. Cedar Rapids is probably down a bit due to the flood, but I expect that to change in the coming years. I'm betting DSM and CR/IC will keep growing fast rates while W'loo Sioux City and the QC stagnates more(though the QC does grow slightly every year).

All 4 of the QC's are doing a number on their downtowns, even lil ol' Le Claire is getting in on it. Although moving back to the Downtown area seems to be a nation wide trend.
