Hey, why stop there? There are plenty of stupid suburban kids too.
Maybe we could include all who didn't finish college too?
Who decides?
This is a slippery slope you don't want to go down. The Nazis tried it
during the war in a variety of ways.
We should try to life everyone up if we want a worthwhile society.

Then you are supposed to balme George Bush. Get on the bandwagon. I heard on a talk show a while ago someone saying that Bush caused Hurricane Katrina. If he can cause that, he certainly must be responsible for the fall of Detroit.

George Bush has little if anything to do with Detroit.
Riots, racism, block busting, forced busing, unemployment, poor school system, high crime, lower city services, inept leadership etc. caused the downfall of Detroit as a world class city.

I think we all know what killed Detroit, but we probably can't say it without our post being killed also.

Since Detroit is dead, why can't we bury it? Or at least sell it to Canada along with that bridge?

Why would they want it?
Yeah, let's just bulldoze it into the river.
Oh wait, how much is the fine for that kind of pollution?

Yep, Bush only delivered the coup de grâce. He, 'it' , is part & parcel of the MIMC that Eisenhower first became aware of and warned JFK about. Once Kennedy began his program of peace & dismantling of the CIA & crime ridden unions, like the Teamster's.. he was marked for death. The rest is as Cronkite used to say.. "is history" - and so too is the once mighty USA.

The 'MIMC' - for those unknowing among us, stands for "Military, Industry, Media Complex" - back then it was the 'MIC' - Military, Industrial Complex" and of course now our media is bought & paid for.

Our economy is trashed. Outsourced to Mexico, China, India, Vietnam.. etc, etc, etc.. Detroit once was a bustling, booming metropolis. I saw it back then.. even cruised Woodward a little. Now, it is ruined.

Agreed. I was in school when that was implimented. Made no diff. It was an attitude of the change in city government. "I'm gonna get mine now."
