Exploring Detroit

Community leaders from Grand Rapids to visit Detroit this week | News for Michigan

I must confess, I was on this bus trip (although I am not Tommy Allen). Amazing things going on in Detroit.

I dig this. Break down the barriers and enable cooperation. I'm a Detroiter, but I'm not afraid to say I love GR. It is a great Michigan city and I want nothing more than to see it succeed. The whole East versus West rhetoric is dead to me.

Welcome to Detroit, Magellan!

I'm convinced that MI is the only state that let streets and sides of town (east MI vs west MI) make a difference in how people see you. We really need to let it go! We need to adopt a "We are ALL MI" attitude

Not really.

However, Michigan is the only state that doesn't think having a strong urban core is important.
