Most people are familiar with the sprawling parks, recreation areas, picnic spots, and man-made landmarks on Belle Isle, but this a really neat video of the natural side of the island:

I drove down here when I first came and was amazed, the reason I bought a house in Indian Village was so I can walk or bike here everyday in the summer

Curious. Is that huge parking pad placed on Belle Isle for the race still there?

Yes, unfortunately, that will probably be there for a very long time. What a huge short-sighted mistake!

That video had awesome photography. And they were even kind enough to include 5 seconds of Homo Sapiens, which make the island virtually unbearable on warm summer evenings.
