Is anyone familiar with The Eton Academy in Birmingham? I was interested in this school because my son has a documented learning disability and I'm looking into different schools for next year. I have checked out their website and parent reviews but I was hoping someone might be able to share any info they have on Eton. We will be moving to the Auburn Hills area by next summer so I have time to make a decision. Haven't decided where we will live yet but are leaning towards the Rochester/Lake Orion areas. I know they have excellent schools there and I will visit them in January. If anyone can help, I will greatly appreciate it.

I am pretty sure tuition at Eaton runs about $10K a year? It is NOT a public charter school. I have heard it is a very good school. BUT expensive...

The tuition is shocking even for a private school. According to the website, it leans more towards $20K than 10K. This is why I am looking for info. What makes it worth this much money? I will talk to the school but I know what they will say - all good, nothing bad and "it will be the best thing for your son". Maybe it will but I need to know more than that.

I think it may be more a "respite" for the Bloomfield kids...

Possibly for the students that Detroit Country Day will not take??

Default Eton Academy

Hello did you ever find out any info on Eton? Did you end up sending your son? I'm new to MI 2nd year and was just told about the school and was considering it for my 5 year old with Autism.

Thanks
Troy

No I never seriously looked into sending my son here because of the cost. His learning disability isn't that severe and the public schools I have looked into seem more than capable of working with him. I would check into schools in the area and decide which one seems to be the best fit. At the school I work at in WI we have two autistic children who have their own aides and they work with them in both the regular and special ed classroom. Good luck!
