So I'm big on not changing schools for my child because they need to learn spanish in case they wish to take over my business however I heard Waldoft (sp?) is a great school and teaches spanish but its kinda expensive for a person who just bought a house and starting a biz. What do you think about this school and Cornerstone and holy Trinity? Or do Detroit public schools just get overlooked and their fine?

Focus on your child getting good grades. High schools offer Spanish and if your child takes it for four years in high school - and some in college - will know enough Spanish to take over the business. You can immerse them in it at home (newspapers, visits to Spanish speaking areas). There's no reason to spend the money now. Save it and focus it on opportunities for your child later. Buy the basic flashcards or an old Spanish 101 textbook from a library/used bookstore/half.com if you want to practice.

There is a reason DPS is overlooked...Cornerstone is a tough academic school. I know a person who taught ther a few years back. They have very high expectations...
