Many months back I remember reading about a nice area in the city in one of these threads. I've spent multiple hours trying to find the same thread but simply cant find it. Wondering if anyone can tell me what area it might be. Here's what I remember......

- a lot of the houses/buildings were red brick and I'm sure Germanic was also mentioned.

- the area had its own website and when you went on it first thing you saw was lovely red brick buildings on fairly tight looking streets

- I'm sure it was around the Palmer Woods/University District/Sherwood Forrest areas but I've had a good scout around on google maps and searched most of the areas around there and cant find the same website.

- Could be around midtown as well

- I remember someone suggested it as a nice area to potentially live in and people also noted it would be good as it was also surrounded by some other nice areas.

May seem like a bit of an odd question but this is totally stumping me and I'm like a dog trying to find a bone when something like this happens. If anyone could list some areas that it could be and I'll continue my searches, it would be most appreciated !

Rosedale neighborhoods were the first that I thought of as well.

Thanks for the quick replies ! I don't think it is them, but good for adding to my list anyways, thanks ! Website had what looked like big lovely red brick apartments that were almost right on the road, in the pictures. The area looked surprisingly dense on the website

Live in Woodbridge

The streets are narrower than average and most of the buildings are a dark red brick.

Bizarrely, I think its going to remain as one of those nagging mysteries that bugs the hell out of me ! Its definitely none of those, although the info is very useful anyway so thanks for that people. Wish there was some kind of website that listed all the area association websites then I could just work my way down that.

If you scroll down Curbed's Detroit page, it has a list of pretty much all the neighborhoods in the city on the right side of the page. Some pictures of the architecture from some of them might help a bit.
