First it was "Obama money." Apparently we've moved on to "gettin' that Obama bacon."

Sad thing is, I was already laughing when I read the title of the thread, before I even opened it so see what is was about. I was thinking "Now what idiotic thing did they do?"

I love the Detroit City council. They are very entertaining. Do we really want a boring city council? What has the Novi city council done recently that was newsworthy?

Boring boring boring.

Support your clowncil, they are not boring.

Obama should give the clowncil $2 billion in credit. Now that would produce some entertaining results. They might need to expand the prison they are building.

Detroit's financial problems would be solved if a clever producer created a reality show centered around the Clowncil.

Society never learns from its mistakes. This is the same city that elected Young over and over as he destroyed the city. They vote for Kwame and folks like Ms. Watson and wonder why their city is at death's door.

Excerpted from the Fox News article:

"The federal government has bailed out cities in the past, however. In 1975, President Gerald Ford extended more than $2 billion in credit to New York City to help it avoid a financial collapse."

*False analogy alert*

I hope people understand that credit might make the situation worse in the long run, as you'll have to pay back a lot more than you got. It only makes sense in situations where the recipient expects to have significantly better cashflow in the future than they do in the present.

People who put long-term goals above short-term goals tend to win overall.
