Nine and Woodward in Ferndale has about 10 good watering holes within walking distance too.

Wyandotte could be ok too I suppose if you are not too aggressive. (i.e. you will run out of places after about three).

Detroit city as a whole you can find plenty of bars. Some may be all together and some may be a little out of the way but good.

Lots of "bars", but with certain entertainment needs the list narrows. Downtown is great for ungentrified architecture and ambiance.
