Details? Were they people from the building or passersby?

Some look occupied.

Noticed a guy trying to sell a junky circular saw on Mack. Looked like a crackhead to me.

Most of Detroit is desperate. Some of the areas looked like some of the people might be trying, but they have no money.
What does a crackhead look like? I did nto know they had a look. Do they have a club or something where they coordinate their appearance so they look alike?

Retroit,

The standard rigmarole from passerby’s. A guy on a bike riding by stopped and started asking me questions about my camera, “Where did you get that camera? Who’s camera is that? How much did you pay for that camera?”

It gets to be confrontational when I have to tell the guy in no uncertain terms to leave me alone and keep moving. This draws attention from a panhandler at the mart next door. One of them starts heading my way mumbling things. In the end, the panhandler asks for ‘sixty cents’. I’m not sure why but I’ve had panhandlers in Greektown also ask for ‘sixty cents’. I left before I got woofed up.

While the overall structure of 8445 is fine, this place is located in a part of town that’s full of despair.

Cold,

Are you trying to be funny? Go cruise the area and give us your assessment.

O/T - I’ve seen men at the 2450 Cass Avenue liquor store - opening bid $12,700.00 – buying liquor and later holding up signs on the Comerica Park parking path with “homeless veteran” and “hungry please help” scrawled on them. My perception is people who live like that typically have drug/alcohol problems. But I’m not 100% sure.

Okay, thanks for the reply. Yeah, I've gotten unwanted attention from people before. Hard to tell sometimes if they are just trying to be friendly or are about to pull a knife or gun. I usually try to avoid people at all cost, usually saying "Sorry, I got to go!" if they actually start talking to me. I can get my pictures some other time. Then there are those that want me to get my blankety-blank white ass out of their blankety-blank city before they shove my blankety-blank camera up my blankety-blank ass, etc.

The pics I took of 8445 - overall good external condition.

All things considered , with an opening bid of $137,500, there are better buildings to be had at this auction.

I did find a couple of juicy morsels to bid up.

Does anyone know if a property purchased from this tax auction is clear and free of all liens and encumbrances?

TIA

310 Alfred, Vacant Lot, $12,800 WTF?
234 Alfred, Vacant Lot, $18,800 WTF?
Vacant Lots on Edmund $11,300 - 15,600 WTF?
312 Watson, https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en $12,000 still too high, but at least you get a historic house. Not sure why it's less than a vacant lot? Maybe unlivable?
94 Watson listed 15 times $8100 each, Condominiums, closest building to that address is https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en If they are saying that the whole building is for $121,500 (15 times $8100), they're nuts. Facade is nice though.
More vacant lots on Watson, Brush, Erskine $7.300-10,900
6230 John R. Vacant Industrial Lot with slabs of concrete, https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en $1,360,300 are they fu--ing crazy?
I'm not even going to waste my time with the rest. No wonder these lots have been vacant for so long!!! Whoever set the values for these properties needs a reality check.

What tasty morsels did you find?
