So last night I decided to spend the evening perusing Downtown Detroit and I stumbled across this amazing bar on the 33rd floor of a building at Griswold and Shelby. It's called Skybar. Some of you may have seen it featured on the news a few nights ago. Let me just say that this place is amazing. It has views of pretty much the entire city. If you had a pair of binoculars, you could actually watch the Tigers' game from there. It is kind of pricey ($12 for an Absolut Dirty Martini), but you're paying for the view more than anything. It was pretty dead last night, but I guess it picks up on the weekends. Once people learn about this place, I think it's going to be a hit. I think I found my new favorite bar in Detroit. I'll try to upload some pics I took when I have time.

So what are your favorite hidden gems in Detroit?

I'll have to check it out. I like Rub BBQ Pub, me and my friends found that place a couple of weeks back. The new Buffalo Wild Wings downtown is very different, a fun one on certain nights is Lucky's (may be called Ultimate Sports Bar now) it's like a club on certain nights. Papalis, pretty good pizza. I happen to find new places all the time, can't remember the name of most of them unless I go back a few times.

Old Miami. The backyard is amazing and great hang out spot on nice days. The inside is very dive but great decor with old couches.
