A bus driver in Detroit attacked with -- bleach late Monday night when Detroit DOT driver dropped off passengers at this bus stop. When police say a man boarded the bus and threw a bucket of bleach on the bus driver's face and ran away. The driver suffered injuries to his eyes and had to be taken to the hospital.

For no reason? Wow... that is just fu*ked up. I hope someone catches up to him and beats his ass into the ground. After throwing bleach on him of course.

Because we don't know how to deal with them, there are mentally ill misfits walking our streets and living in our neighborhoods. This guy had the element of surprise on his side and got away with a crime.

It's so sad that things like this continue to occur. Detroit could really use some luck right about now instead of all this negativity. I'm guessing it would be too expensive to retrofit driver shields into the busses? Then again, these lunatics might just go around bleaching bus users instead. Cameras might help? Something needs to be done, but what?

They're in the process of installing multiple cameras on all of the buses with the federal money that Detroit received. I'm surprised they didn't go for the shields also.
