I personally never second guess any play/fumble/mistake that happens in a game. Reason being that anybody can second guess, but there is a reason those particular people are getting paid as much as they are and are actually out on the field while the rest of us sit on our behinds and WATCH the game.

Last time I checked there isn't a Pro team in any sport that wants to field a pack of losers. Some may look that way . Tigers for ohhhhh soooo long, Lions, Cubs, Pick a Boston sports team, and any other number of them. There is no way the Owners are going to keep a mediocre player for an ungodly amount of money, if there is a better player they can get out there.

Armchair Quarterback/Pitcher/Goalie/Manager is a very, very easy job. I give the Lions credit for going into a game the CLEAR underdogs, against a team that was by far the favorite to win, and getting that <holding thumb and forefinger 1/2 inch apart> close. Better than they have done in the past, better than they will do again in the future. As long as I don't have to cough up the payroll, I'll continue to watch. Win or lose.

I agree. I was just pointing out what happened, and am disappointed as anyone at the result precisely because the Lions were so close. BTW, I hate the Cowboys.

If I knew how to post a giant thumbs up, I would. I spent 2 years down in Dallas and will never follow the Cowboys.

THAT, right there, is as good an illustration as any of why I was never a Lions fan. Far too painful! They almost always find a way to lose the game ... even a game that they should have had in the bag.

They held the lead for 59 minutes and 42 seconds ... and then ... and then ... oh, dear.
