Not a ton of restaurants to walk too - but perfectly safe area to walk dogs/exercise. Modestly prices homes/for rent.

Nothing too glamorous in Centerline, but nothing to scare you away either.

It's walkable in the sense that the city is so small that you can walk from one side to the other in about 20 minutes. Generally the only form of shopping is a stripmall at Van Dyke and 10 Mile. Very few restaurants especially outside of fast food chains. It's generally a safe area but typically has many working-class folks. It's a budget-friendly area but nothing to write home about.

Thank you, I have young children and am concerned for their safety. The neighborhood looks ok, all homes occupied, seems to be working class. I just need a safe and affordable home, We will be commuting to their current school district.

Well it doesn't seem like finding an affordable home will be a problem in Center Line. It looks like all the homes are really cheap there, under 100k.

Working-class community that really identifies more or less with Warren which surrounds it. Typical post-WWII bungalow style housing, although at a bargain compared to comparable housing stock in St. Clair Shores, north Warren, Madison Heights, or Royal Oak.

Centerline holds its own, seems to be a high percentage of senior citizens and aging baby boomers still in the house they raised their families in.

The part of Warren, south of Centerline, particularly south of 9 Mile is questionable and experiences the spill-over of crime from Detroit.
