I posted a month or 2 ago about my husband looking to transfer to his firm's Detroit office and it looks like it's going to go through! Because our son starts kindergarten this fall and I'm due with baby #2 at the end of August, it makes the most sense for us to move around mid-late July. Which means we have a LOT to do.

Right now, I'm doing research and thought I'd reach out here for recommendations on the best hospitals to deliver in the Detroit metro area... any suggestions? Bonus points if you recommend a Dr. as well!

Thanks in advance, let the moving craziness begin!

Best wishes for your move!
What area will you be moving to? You may want to live within a certain distance of your hospital, and ob/gyn, too.

LOL, I once found out the hard way that this isn't necessarily true.

At this point we aren't sure yet. We were there about a month ago and looked at the "downriver" area... that was... an experience.

We also looked at a few places in St. Clair Shores... I could see us maybe getting a place there until we're ready to buy. I've been hearing a lot of good things about Beaumont in Royal Oak... it seems to be about a 30 min. drive which is totally doable.

Beaumont in Royal Oak or Troy, or Providence Park in Novi.

I don't know if it will be anywhere near where you will live, but I've heard very good things about Henry Ford Hospital in West Bloomfield.
