Hi All,

I am relatively new to Detroit and Michigan - I've been here for a little over a year now. I'm currently employed as an automotive engineer in Dearborn.

I'm looking at going back for an MS in controls/mechatronics/robotics engineering, and am trying to get feedback on if there's a better regional school for this type of program.

If anyone can add any insight in regards to quality of professors, resources/labs, and working professional accommodations (offer most courses at night/weekend) feel free to chime in.

Right now I'm mainly looking at UM Dearborn, Lawrence Tech, Wayne State, and Detroit Mercy - if there are any better ones I'm missing - let me know.

Thanks for your help!

Those are all great schools. Go to whichever one is cheapest/closest to your home/work.

None of those schools are at a competitive advantage/disadvantage vs. any of the others.

They're all fine. LTU is more expensive. UM-Dearborn has better job placement options and being in the UM alumni association is great for networking if you leave the state.
