Hi guys. I'll be flying into DTW soon and need to get to Windsor. I won't need a car in Canada, so was thinking of an Uber or Lyft. It seems like Uber will go to Windsor if the driver wants to go (meaning they are willing, I pay the toll, and they have their passport on them). However, I would not be able to call an Uber into Canada for a pickup to drive me back to DTW.

Is this correct (meaning I should be able to get to Canada, but cannot use Uber/ Lyft to leave)? Thanks!

Interesting question I have no answer for. Given how busy that International crossing is I wonder if there is some arrangement for traditional cabs/taxis across the border?

It appears the Canadians run a shuttle Bus through the tunnel. That may be your ticket. Get to the tunnel on the Windsor side, take the shuttle to the U.S.A. then grab an Uber once your on American soil.

Yes take an Uber to the Ren Center in Detroit and just take the bus through the tunnel. Then Uber again in Canada and repeat.

Yes, this is a much better idea than having to take an Uber across the border, cheaper too, I would assume.
