SE MI is never going to get down to 4 or 5 malls, every mall that closes down makes the nearest one busier. Other than that I agree with you. I should clarify I meant malls of that quality I didn't mean it should all be concentrated in one area... that was the point I was arguing earlier. I think Detroit (entire southeast MI) only needs about 10 good quality malls. If it were me I would keep open and invest in Fairlane, Eastland, Southland, Twelve Oaks, Somerset, Great Lakes, Partride Creek or Lakeside (don't need both), Brairwood, Howell outlets, and Westland Mall. That would be 10 malls spaced out good enough to stay afloat, especially with more investment.
