I would rather not have both major bridges be privately owned by the same individual. I like my major infrastructure to be publicly owned and operated.

Yeah, CANADIAN TAXPAYERS, for every penny of it, lol! So why do you even care? Very suspicious!

The problem was the location. I'm sure you know that Matty. Canada, a sovereign nation didn't want your new span dumping in the heart of town right next to your other span.

So if he was a good guy, would you still have a problem with it? What if Dan Gilbert offered to build it free of charge?

Do you always believe politicians when they tell you "this will not cost anything"?

Yep, years of neglect by the Canadians in not updating their infrastructure. Hopefully, they won't make the same mistake with the new bridge.

Just exactly how have Canadians been neglecting and not updating their infrastructure? Please enlighten me! The location of the bridge in historic Sandwich is why a freeway was never built to the bridge, we don't want all those poisonously truck fumes killing our Residents!

Matty is the one who has let the Ambassador Bridge rot as he keeps all the toll money for his greedy family.

I understand libertarian economic philosophy, and some of it is good policy, but if someone cannot see how having a slumlord hold hostage infrastructure which accounts for trillions of dollars of economic growth is bad thing, it suggests many things about that person's character.

The devil in the details, broad brushstrokes, all you have is a hammer, walks like a duck, etc., etc.
