try an 'auto-owners' insurance company. I had a 00' alero for a little over $300/ 6 months plpd, just had to be paid in full.

try a different agent.

When I was 35-40 (don't remember exactly) clean driving license, 1992 s10 pick-up. I mentioned to a guy I worked with how much I was paying in insurance. He thought it was a lot. He was insured with the same agent. Called her, said he was thinking of buying a 1992 S10 (basically my truck) and asked for a quote. It was slightly less that half of what they were charging me.

Went to a different agent and all was right with the world.

Agents matter as much as insurance companies.

Try Geico www.Geico.com they typically have really good rates. Of course every situation is different.
