A new comedy show called "Detroiters" aired it's first episode the other day. Did anybody see it by chance? if so how was it? Do you think it will last.

Comedy Central offered free beer and a number of Detroit bars on Tuesday as well.

I watched it on my SmartTV. It will bite the dust in a few months. The last descent show supposedly based in Detroit was "Martin"....and I think the HBO series "Hung" (though I never watched it....I heard it had good reviews). This Comedy Central show was lame. I think I did a "half laugh" once....that's it. However, my taste in comedy might be different from others....so don't go by me. Watch it at least once. They kind of made Detroit look dorky.

Give it a few episodes. Pilot episodes usually aren't great and historically great shows like Seinfeld has bad pilots.

I still have to watch it if I can find it online or something or wait for a rerun.

Technically they offered to pick up the tab since giving away free alcohol is against the law in Michigan. That is part of why there are no free drinks in casinos here like there is in Las Vegas.

I going to have to give you props on that point. I watched the second episode and it was much better then the first.

I too really enjoyed the second episode, and I'm typically not a comedy fan.

Rats I missed the second episode because I thought the opening one was lame. Guess I'll have to give it another try.
