Hello,
I'm going to the Pistons game on Tues March 18 and I was wondering if anything interesting is going on that day/night or the night before in the metro or suburban Detroit area. I'm from upper MI and visit Detroit 3-4 times per year and want to do something out of the ordinary this time around. Any suggestions??

I remember seeing a group of people that strip naked and jump in the freezing Detroit river in March. Maybe you can join them? that would certainly be unusual.

It's freakin' St. Patrick's Day, of COURSE there's stuff going on on the 17th!!!!! Whatsa matter with you people!!! Although the Parade is Sunday I believe....Go to the Tipperary on Southfield, South of Joy Road...Get there at about 8:00am and save me a seat........Or go to any of the bars on Michigan Ave. near the old Tiger Stadium. They even have a gay one there now I think.....

You were kidding, right? You knew it was St. Patrick's Day.......Second biggest drinking day of the year.....

I still think that you should strip naked and jump in the river.

Check out "The Metro Times" online. They list events around town, there are many types of events happening.

Tom's Tavern will be having corned beef and cabbage Friday (tommorow), through Monday. Try there. 7 Mile just west of Wyoming.
