Hello everyone,
I am coming to Detroit this weekend for a few hours and wanted to go to Third Man Records. I was thinking about parking the car near Rivard Plaza then walking towards Woodward to catch new new QLine towards Canfield stop, then walking to Third Man Records before cathing QLine back to my car. Is this a safe area? Should I just drive there instead? Thanks

I wouldn't be worried about it at all.

I wouldn't worry, either. I've never tried to park in the Cass Corridor area, but parking in Midtown can suck in general. You could potentially walk farther to and from your car than to and from Woodward!

There is free lot parking right along Cass on the weekends.

Use the same common sense you need to use in any city. Do not leave valuables in sight in your car. Lock the doors when you leave the car. Don't buy or sell guns, sex or drugs while you are here. Don't steal anything from a drug dealer or crime kingpin. Don't shoot anyone, or at least don't miss.

Apply these basic concepts and you will be as safe as in any US major city where you apply the same concepts.
