So I am relocating to Greektown area starting Monday. Specifically near St Antoine and Macomb block.

What are my options for parking from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM? I am looking at the St Mary's lot there on St Antoine. Does anyone know what time the parking areas start to fill up?

What are the chances there is a monthly parking facility in the area?

At 7:00 am, no lot will be close to full. Most of the attendants don't even show up until 7. In Greektown, it is rare for a lot to be full on a non-game day, I believe they like to save spots for game days, because they charge way more.

St. Mary's is usually $5-10, depending on the day. I get off on Lafayette, so I pass the guys out there with their flags every day.

As far as monthly parking, I am not sure in Greektown. As I said, I think they have a tendency to save spots for games. Most parking lots outside of Greektown have waiting lists. You will need to look at the smaller lots. Gilbert owns the garages in Greektown and they will probably have very long waiting lists, if they even have one.

Thanks. My employer is negotiating with the Park-n-Ride folks who run the lot on the corner of Monroe and 375 service drive (behind St Mary's).

Fortunately, as you said, the lots are no where near full at 7:00 AM so I shouldn't have too much trouble getting in..unless the spots are all reserved by monthly people, right?

I don't think they are reserved. They have guys out there with flags every day and they put up big signs. Between the sporting events, concerts, casino, restaurants, courts, etc... I'm pretty sure they like to keep a lot of their parking open.
The only time I could ever see you having a problem with day-to-day parking is on a Thursday in the fall if the Tigers have a day game and the Lions an evening game. If that happens, I'd park at/near Cobo and take the People Mover.
