What is Farmington like? Is it a friendly place? What are some of its selling points?

Southfield didn't work out for ya?

Farmington proper is nice, especially when you're close to downtown. It has some sketchy areas that are still technically zoned to the city around the SE corner (closer to 8 mile), but other than that it's perfectly pleasant. Lots of SFRs, a few older apartment complexes. Fairly diverse when it comes to cuisine/grocery stores. What else do you want to know?

Nice place. The city is an old farm town. Cute but small, Some neat places. A very good community theater. Most of the homes are in Farmington Hills. There are various school districts depending on where you are. All of the ones i know of are good. Subdivisions are primarily 70s and 80s but there is a mix of some older and some newer. Location is great. Good access to everywhere. No water, but Kensington is close. Novi is close for every kind of shopping and chain restaurant dining you could want, but very crowded. Crime is not very high. They wear nice shoes in Farmington.
