For someone living in Grosse Pointe what is the best health club/gym option. Would prefer something like Lifetime fitness with day care, etc., but looks pretty far away. That appears not possible, any suggestions greatly appreciated!!!

What kind of entertainment is nearby, like 5 minutes or less in the Grosse Pointe Park area? Would someone in their mid-upper 20's be bored here? Are there cool restaurants, bars, coffe shops, stores around? Thank you.

I think you would be bored. If I was in my twenties I'd rather live in Royal Oak. But in our case my wife works long hours downtown.....very easy commute with multiple routes for her, well worth the trade offs, plus the parks (pool, etc.) in the Grosse Pointes are great.
