Hello Detroit...

We are coming to the Detroit area this week and will be arriving at around 11pm We will have to travel from the Airport to East Pointe. We are renting a car....What is the best (safest for us women)route...road construction concerns and safety issues.

I have not been to Detroit and would ask this question of any metropolis as they ALL have areas to avoid! And since I live in MN and KNOW the pain of construction seasons..predict there are similar issues there....don't feel like getting tangled up in detours and getting lost..(happens sometimes)

Just another question, we are putting my Uncles house on the Market in East Pointe...what are the odds of a sale anytime soon!

Thanks for your info...

I would say 94 straight up to like Vernier Rd/8 Mile. No real construction there (avoid 75 near Clark Street!)

Odds of selling your uncles house are not real good. If it is priced super cheap it might sell. Depends on th eneighborhood and the quality of the house. Some places houses for sale at $10,000 are not selling.

94 will take you through some rougher neighborhoods, but it will be relatively quick as you are on a freeway. I think pretty much anyone would go this way, so you wouldn't be the only people of your type on the freeway. Any other route would take a loooooooooong time, and would still take you through some questionable neighborhoods. The less time spent in those places the better, right?
