What's your point with that. I've seen abandoned buildings before.

Slappy,

The point? Deeber, who like you I think is pulling our legs, asked about Highland Park.

There it is.

How can you describe Hamilton Street without a picture? LOL

Yes Deeber, you'll be within bicycle distance of Grand River. You can rent a boat and have lively beach fun there!

I think I figured it out!!! Deeber is really Sacha Baron Cohen!! He's coming to Highland Park to film "Borat II"!!! Yeah!!!

I hope I happen to driving to work be when he corners a tranny street ho at 6 and Woodward and asks him/her about lively beach fun and farm animals at the State Fair!!!

Deeber, you know very little about the Detroit area.

First, Highland Park is very blighted, abandoned buildings, poorly maintained buildings and houses. A very poor community. It is 93% black and 4 % white. It is not vibrant.

I would recommend that you live in downtown detroit, midtown detroit, the new center area, or if you are more adventurous and brave, the Palmer Park Apartments.
There are not a lot of Russians, but the first 3 are relatively vibrant with plenty of public transportation routes. Detroit DOES NOT HAVE A RAIL TRANSIT SYSTEM!! No subway.

Detroit city is situated on a river, and thus there are not any beaches except one beach which is on our large island park of Belle Isle. However, we do have a very nice boardwalk along with riverfront. The northern eastern suburbs and downriver suburbs are situated on the Great Lakes, and they have beaches along parts of the lakefronts.

Macomb County: Recreation & Green Space

If you don't want to live in the city, check out Ferndale and Royal Oak. I thought you would be used to gay people since you live in Miami? They are good people.
