I need to find a very smart mechanic in the downriver area. I have had my car ito several different mechanics (in several different states) for the same problem with no resolution. I need to find someone who is not just a technician type mechanic, but someone who really loves and knows engines (and electronics/cooling systems for this problem). They also need to be very bright. I am more concerned with their diagnostic ability than anyhirng else. I do nto want someone who will just start replacing parts that "might" be the cause of the problem and hoping it iwll go away. I have had enough of that.

You could try Dan D'Angelo on Allen Road in Allen Park between Southfield and Outer Drive. My FIL has been using him for at least 30 years. We have taken older vehicles there as well that were no longer under warrenty and therefore not covered by the dealership.
