I don't know if you guys have seen that, but it is one of my favourite photo-projects. The photographs are so beautiful, despite the subject matter. And it doesn't seem exploitative like a lot of the other abandoned Detroit photography.
Where did all the people go !!!! How quickly did this happen ? I am stunned at the pictures. Some of those houses are obviously upper middle class, substantial homes, as well as, solid middle class homes......just gone. It looks like a lot of burning goes on.

As I have said in a previous post, I am mesmerized (?)by what is happening in Michigan's cities. I wish I knew something to do about it. Michigan is a beautiful state. I think since I have acquired a step granddaughter from Michigan, it has become even more personal to me.

Thx for the pictures. They all are outstanding.

The decline of Detroit has been done to death and there are tons of books, news reports, blog posts, etc., all with different interpretation and viewpoints.

The best you could do is buy a home in the city, move in, and become a taxpaying citizen. Of course in the city's current state, it isn't too appealing to most would-be residents. Maybe in a few years or so?

Very nice collage. Thanks. I still can't really wrap my brain around this state, this unlimited opportunity, a larger than life segment of our history and what has happened. I hope and pray that Michigan comes back, stronger than ever and better for it.
