I don't know if they're still around anymore but wasn't there some people on this forum a few months back saying Farmington/ Farmington Hills was declining?

Interesting for you to bring that up, as in the few times that crabby people have mentioned such things, you have been one of the people to heartily dispute it! I have a good memory and you do post a lot. Do you have a "case of the Mondays" today?

The article said Farmington Hills if you can add Farmington you can add Southfield and West Bloomfield too since they all have touching Farmington Hills in common

My Monday was terrible. I'm glad it's over.

Money magazine put out a list a few years ago with the "best" places to live in the country, with no 1-per-state restriction, and Berkley was listed as #28, nationally. I was wondering what changed in either the city stats or Time's metrics between then and now, and then I read this..
To identify MONEY’s Best Places to Live in Every State, we used the same data set that yielded our overall Best Places to Live ranking: We looked only at places with populations between 10,000 and 100,000, then eliminated any place that had ... a lack of ethnic diversity.
Ah ha! There it is. Yep, Berkley is about as diverse as an Irish pub on 80's night. In fact, we have 3 Irish pubs, and I know that at least one of them occasionally has an 80's night

I do really like Farmington though. I need to get down to Grand River more often, and by more often I mean again as I've only visited once. We got Mexican food. You know, now that I think about it, isn't there an Irish pub in Downtown Farmington too? I'm starting to think this Money magazine is only recognizing communities that have Irish pubs. Personally, I have no problem with that.
