Default that's crazy...

$3000 bond!! however; that probably less than it would cost the tax payers to house him until he gets a trial. I bet the defense goes something like this " That's not my duffel bag, I've never seen that before in my life" or "Man please, the police planted that".

All that being said.. Who knows what should be done with these dopes. We spend millions upon millions of dollars a year to house these non-violent offenders. Heck, I read something that said New Jersey pays over $300 million annually for just their state's non-violent criminals so the actual cost to the US must be in the billions annually.

What a waste... They get out of jail and do it all over again or they come out with newly acquired "skills".

While I agree with the sentiment, chances are pretty good this guy is far from a non-violent offender. Only two handguns were found during the investigation, but generally these guys are more than willing to trade some lead to protect their "investments".

$3000 bond is a pretty ridiculous number. He's probably got that much rolled up in $20s in a sock drawer somewhere.

Well, I have to say. Warren's doing a very good job. There's been a lot less corruption since Ghetto-thug Kilpatrick got caught and kicked out.
I mean, Warren Evans got the city from #1 most dangerous to #4 or 5.
Hopefully, they can expand the Mini-stations, which is basically the DPD's version of Precincts, to more areas in the city.

No, That's what they want you to believe. I've been locked up. They'll tell you it's all a scam. They are selling dope out of city hall.LEARN.

I'm so happy Bing got re-elected. Detroit needs maturity at the helm, and perhaps this is one of many signs of good things to come.

My concern is that he may not have enough support to accomplish anything. Maybe I'm being overly negative but it just sounds like the entire ruling class in the city and state are on the take. Small example is the way Mike Cox, who helped cover up for Kwame originally after the stripper shooting, is now running for Gubnor on the Republican ticket, the same ticket Engler got in on before he started systematically destroying what was left of the state's ecomony and lining his pockets in the process for I don't know how many years.

No doubt there's vast corruption and a strong old boy network in Michigan politics. Otherwise, the state might have found some other industries by now.

But, within that context (and what state doesn't have corruption?), I like Bing and I think he's much needed. Even if the most he can accomplish is getting the garbage picked up and the streets cleaned after a storm, he will have made significant improvements.

Here's hoping he can get somewhere!
