Requiem for Detroit (2010)

Quote:
A documentary about the decay and industrial collapse of America's fourth largest city.
There's a couple of pop ups and ads with this movie. But it loads relatively fast.

Thumbs up Wow...just wow....

There's some "agendizing" in there to be sure, but this is an amazing video. By the way, certain parts of the United Kingdom, the first country to industrialize and the first country to de-industrialize, had wastelands like this at one point or another. Not as stark or as bleak, but wastelands all the same.

There is hope. With plans and efforts, this doesn't have to be the end; this doesn't have to be the final chapter for the city and the people of Detroit.

This was a pretty depressing production. It's amazing how such a thriving city can basically collapse in a matter of a few decades.
