[LEFT]Still looking for a few nice places to go after work in the Dearborn (or surrounding areas) that have a higher concentration of people in the 35 to 55 age group. I'm in my early 40's and have recently found most of the places that used to cater to this age groups doesn't get the crowds like they used too (or at least not after work anymore). I'm looking for something nice, but not necessarily upscale, that is friendly and easy to meet new people. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thx!!!!

You know, I just thought of something, there are places to meet people, but if you are not into volunteering your time, then maybe pick out a nice restaurant that you like and show up once or twice a week, for a couple of months, soon the staff will know you, and many others who go there often will recognize you and an introduction could be at hand.

Now, you could join the Fairlane club, if it's still up and running, I haven't checked that out lately, or better yet even though times are bad you might be able to swing a part time evening or weekend job at one of those businesses on Michigan ave. in West Dbn. You can meet people there too.

This is of course, if you do not want to spend your time volunteering your services to help others, where you will certainly meet some people in your age group, or do some charity work, the Political scene will be great this year actually going into the 2012 elections, get started now, by joining one of the parties and by then you'll be well known in the group, when the heavy hitters get involved closer to election time. Hey, it's worth a try and besides, like I said this is where the action is going to be for the next 3 years.

Not sure where your tastes lie but all along michigan ave in west dearborn is places to go. New Place lounge is a little hole in the wall but it has that age crowd and pool and darts. There is also the double olive and a few others.
