Strength training will be a while - I have too much weight to lose (110+ pounds) I couldn't do a pushup with a gun to my head.

I DO take walks, but until I lose some weight, long walks are out because they hurt my back. Yes, I am a mess, one step at a time. I LIKE the bike because I can listen to music and not worry about a car running me over.

I'm sure what you say is true, but I have to start slowly, other than the bike. I can burn calories and use up glucose on it, as my 53-point drop demonstrated this morning. I used to be able to do stairmaster, which is really efficient, but my back doesn't like the impact, hence the recumbent. At 58, I have to be a little careful.

Did an hour on the exercise bike yesterday. 61 min, actually, 400+ calories, lowered my BG to 112 from 125, kicked me own arse, so to speak.

Hoping to raise the resistance more.

Dont be upset! many people are suffering from it yet living a healthy life . You can maintain your blood glucose level by making some little but effective changes in your lifestyle. Indulge yourself in physical activities-running, walking, jogging, cycling, dance, take your gossip sessions on walk, use stairs instead of lift, change your eating habits, avoid sugar, drink green tea, stay calm and happy.
