I've seen it on people in line in front of me in the grocery store. I never had that symptom...one symptom I had was sweating a lot, the kind of sweating that leaves your hair and your shirt wet. I didn't know that was a diabetes symptom, but I was so happy when it went away after I was diagnosed and started eating properly.

I've never had a low. I used to worry about it happening and I would carry a little bottle of sugary drink in my bike basket in case I had a problem, but it hasn't happened in the two years I've been on diabetes meds.

you are lucky. They are absolutely debilitating--especially when it happens in the middle of the night. I keep tablets in my purse, the car, all around the house. I have a pump and sometimes I over bolus because I THINK I'm gonna eat xyz but actually only eat xy. A low comes on suddenly and just as quickly a swig of orange or apple juice or a few tablets fixes it all.
