There are several brands of low carb tortillas in my grocery store, but all of them are high in sodium. One brand was at 220 mg of sodium per serving (1 tortilla), but it was outstandingly low in carbohydrates. The other brands are at 300mg and above (20% of my daily sodium budget) for one tortilla (small).

I have noticed with tortillas (possibly in other foods as well) that a low carb characteristic is paired with high sodium characteristic (for example, whole wheat tortilla) and low sodium characteristic is paired with high carb characteristic (for example, yellow corn tortillas).

Question: I have searched on the internet and haven't found anything; so, does anyone know of a low carb AND low sodium tortilla?

I can tolerate anything below 200mg, but that corn tortilla had only 10mg of sodium. If it only had low carbs, I'd be in 7th heaven.

Same thing with stuff wihtout HFCS - why can't you buy organic, low salt, HFCS free products - if they take out one they make sure the others havi it.

The best places I have found is Whole Foods for some of the things I look for if I dont want to make it myself; they may have something.

Tumaro's Low in Carbs 8-Inch Tortillas, Multigrain, 13.75-Ounce Packages (Pack…

These actually DO fit the bill 5 net carbs, 115mg sodium (more than I would want but technically that IS considered low sodium]

no personal experience with them

Why not make your own? They are not that difficult, and you can control the amount of salt you put in.

Hey, nice find! 115 mg of sodium is the lowest I have seen. I'll look out for them.

Thanks, nance!
