The spring scale is the traditional weight scale that you'll find in most bathrooms across America. They use the force of pressure on the springs to measure a person's weight. But it has many shortcomings, like the inaccuracy of weighing numbers due to the limited life-span of the spring and each spring has different elasticity. While digital scale has brought a new fresh innovation in the digital age by its high accuracy, durability, and easiness. Nowadays, the market is filled with varies kinds and brands of electronic digital scale, and the quality of each model differs. But there are rules of choosing a proper and high-quality scale.

First, be certain of the aim of the scale you want to buy, whether to weigh the items that need high accuracy like jewelry or diamond or just bulk of things that don’t need sensible readouts, whether for daily life use or business counting. Then locate the category of the scales.

Second, the well-known brands should be your priority, but it is just like the swords with two blades, you can enjoy the good quality and best service from them, but you need to pay for them the attached value of the products. Some less famous brands or company also can provide both.

Third, choose the proper specification of the type, like the capacity, division, the material, and the size.

Fourth, check the outer of the scale. The cover of the good scale should be sleek, and have no stains, no crack, no scratch, the display should be flat, and the readout should be clear. There should be product name, model NO., specifications, manufacturer, capacity, divisions, unit name, and license key of measuring instruments.

Fifth, check the function of the scale. Power on the scale, the readouts displays zero and the number is clear, no flickering, and the screen should have signs of Tare, Mode, and Overload. When adding or taking off objects from the scale pan, the weight of the objects should be right and stable. Check every keys and combination of the keys whether function well by the manual.

Sixth, check whether the instruction of the product, guarantee card, and ex-factory certification are complete.

After having done the above steps, I think you can get a good and qualified scale. Of course, in order to make everything goes ok, you should inquire the seller or salesman some specific questions of the scale.
