Besides overeating the past few weeks, I just topped it off this morning by getting creative in the kitchen.
My pantry is stuffed with some baked goods. I decided to make some room in my pantry by cooking up the package for peanut butter cookies. I threw in some chocolate chips.
I burnt half of them, but didn't want them to go to wasted so I cut the bottoms off and had a few. -_-
I finally caught myself and what I was doing. I threw them away!
But I'm feeling like need to set this overindulgence straight. I don't want to do it in an unhealthy way, like some bulimics do.
I am just wondering what is a healthy thing to do after overindulging.
Do the equivalent of what people with too many credit cards do - cut the cards up. Get rid of excess food in your house. Any non-perishables can be donated.
A few cookies is not over indulging. Flip the packet over and look at the serving size. Thats what you should start doing with ALL food. I find saying a cold hard no to things you like is a surefire way to be unhappy in your diet. Find healthier recipes for the types of food you like. For baking start looking at low carb things and pay attention to serving size and how much you should be eating on the daily total. Sweets are ideally cut out but if you make them, make them healthier.
Thanks you all for your replies. I'm feeling a little better. I will definitely watch my portion sized for the rest of the day and get some excercise in.
I was feeling bad, because after 3 months of living a healthy lifestyle, and actually getting through Thanksgiving reasonably well, the rest of the holiday season was a little out of control.
I am feeling better now.

I have been looking into how to make traditional recipes healthier, not only for myself, but for my elderly father as well. I appreciate all the support you all provided!
Portion control is key, drink 8 glasses of water a day, try and go walking, ride a bike or some other form of exercise. Try and keep those trigger foods that you enjoy induldging on out of your house (if possible) Weight watchers teach us this and it's worked well so far for me. I am eating better, making better food choices and lost 42 lbs so far with another 30 to go. I have over eaten many many times in my life but never binged like eat a whole bag of cookies, or a whole half gallon of ice cream because I knew what the consequesnces would be on my stomach if I did that. I always hated that bloated full feeling especially after the holidays and getting what I call a Food Hangover. This is the first year in 10 years I am feeling better and looking better. I went from a size 18 to a 14 and would like to get down to a size 10 by the summer.
Consider it an aberration and continue on with your healthy eating! Being successful is based on what you do 90% of the time, not occasionally.
