Weight watchers doesnt exist on internet message boards

Only low carb, and the straw man low fat high carb diet that the low carb people like to use as a whipping boy.

Very true - vegetables are filling. I eat a good portion of veggies at dinner time and I never go to bed hungry. In fact, I sincerely prefer the homemade veggie side dishes that I make over the pasta/rice side dishes that I used to make. And way less calories...

Vegetarians usually become vegetarians for other reasons than to lose weight. It is a lifestyle and belief system. Someone looking for a way to lose weight may not embrace the vegetarian lifestyle as something they want to continue after they lose the weight.

Regardless of a vegetarian's motives, it's a restrictive diet. Can't argue that. It takes devotion and discipline. You said it.
