One tip I will add is that if you need to up your protein intake you can't go wrong with sardines. I know a lot of people don't like them, but a tin of sardines is very low calorie and almost pure protein. Get REAL sardines, which come from Portugal or Morocco. The stuff on the shelves in the grocery stores are called sardines but they aren't "true" sardines (they are other small fish that are similar). True sardines taste 100% better. If you read body-building forums you will see that many body builders eat them. They eat a lot of tuna also.
i got sardines. since i started 3 months ago i did gain a pound and a half of muscle. i been shifting my work out days around. this week is wed fri and sun. two days off from work and a half day at work. last time i was at the gym the ac didnt make it cool in there and it was miserable to work out.
That's excellent man! Keep up the good work. How about progress on the lifts? Have you been adding weight when you're able?
not for a while. im getting exhausted this week because of the odd humidity to hit CA and apparently my gym is cheap and doesnt seen to have a good AC system.

That sucks. Might be time for a new gym.
Are you following the beginner's guide I linked to awhile back?

i read it a while back. i have been doing two 35 oz for bench press. bicep curls i was able to up to the 40 oz bar. some of the free weight stuff was still the same.
today the gym was nice and cool. it's the only gym in the area i can afford right now and it's a national chain so i dont think ill be switching anytime soon.
Also this week I skipped one gym day. Which means I wasn't focusing on my protein diet that day. And I might be switching to a 49 hr work week job from my 30 hrs job. As I get older, it's getting harder to find the time for the gym. This week though I got lazy and played video games all day on my day off. I felt bad....
