If you were to lose over 40 lbs (and a complete transformation) resulting in a driver's license that no longer looks like you, would you go for a re shoot? I need to lose 80 more lbs before I reach my ultimate goal weight and I can totally picture myself looking like nothing on my driver's license. I renewed my id today and despite losing some weight, I look so different than I did 8 years ago which was when my id was first issued.

Seems like a good problem to have. I'd just leave it because its always a hassle going to the DMV.

My DL never looks like me! There is such a long time span between renewals that I am always changing. No one cares, believe me.

No one cares. In Arizona they issue IDs that are good for something like 50 years.

When I lost 180 lbs, I didn't look at all like my DL photo anymore because my skin on my face was all saggy and wrinkled and I had lost a lot of hair, so I was glad I didn't have to get my photo taken when I renewed the DL.

I have had a few really bad ID photos and I remember someone at customes once really checking my photo in my passport vs what I looked like in person and it was a bad photo... so in my head I was like yesss.... he does not believe it is me because I look so much better in person lol !!!

But if I were you get new ID. I would have changed my tune really fast if I did not get through customs in time and missed by flight !

Women change their hair color and style, so it doesn't match the DL, but it's not an issue. I think you're fine, OP. You can get a new pic when you're almost done losing weight.
