Those videos I posted are probably not the best ones. I was unable to find the one I wanted to post, but a young man lost a lot of weight and initially had loose skin but over time the action of autophagy ate up the loose skin. I think it said that loose skin is protein and in the course of IF, gets eaten up. Sounds gross, I know, but much more natural and safer than a $30,000 surgery.
The etiology of the word "autophagy" is self-eating.
I was concerned about this initially, as well, but after several months of OMAD, the areas I wanted to slim down are soft and dimply rather than hard fat, and I think my progress is moving in the right direction. It takes time.
You're right. Autophagy, through fasting, is the best way to tighten skin and much safer than going under the knife.
I've been listening to some great podcasts being done by a doctor and his guests (which include Dr Jason Fung). The discussions are great and aren't sponsored by any pharmaceutical company or food manufacturer. Just plain and simple talk about what works. If you're interested in listening, check out the podcast with Jason Fung. Episode #6. All are good but in this one, he talks about fasting, insulin and even addresses loose skin and how to eliminate it. All podcasts can be heard here ... Low Carb MD Podcast
I've never had a loose skin issue.
You would've thought I would've had one after getting cancer and losing 40 lbs in no time.
But, nope.
You lost yours using IF, IIRC? That would explain it. I think you shared, also, that people have mentioned to you that your face has changed, tightened up. Mine has, which is really nice. Mary Kay helps but there is a noticeable difference in skin tone.
SAD (Standard American Diet) and fat, sugar and salt account for the rates of obesity, heart disease, cancer, hypertension, stroke, diabetes, all of it. When something is not working, it's time to change.

This time it is a IF/Low Carb combo.
I did indeed change when I hit a long term plateau on Low Carb only.
I don't use Mary Kay.
The other time it was about 40 lbs really fast, thanks to lymphoma.
I did have a noticable difference in skin tone. It was gray.
OP, you are young and will bounce back. You don’t need to try any funky diet. I have a friend who I met when we were in our 20s. She was 21 and probably a size 12 or 14 and about 5’2”. Now she is 39 and a fitness instructor and looks incredible. I think she basically did weightwatchers plus exercise and it worked for her. She has managed to get and keep the weight off after she had her kids in her late 20s/early 30s.
I also have a friend who lost a TON of weight at your age after he got treatment for Hashimoto’s and I think he did do intermittent fasting for a little while, but he lost something like 80-100 pounds. I have another friend who lost a ton of weight and I would have NO CLUE he ever weighed a lot except that he tells me he used to be “fat” so I have to take his word for it. I have only ever known him as a skinny person and he looks like a skinny person to me in terms of his skin. I am from FL so I have seen most of my friends in swimsuits.
