I went on a juice diet after being motivated by the movie Fat Sick and almost Dead, lost 20lbs in 15 days,
When i went back to eating food i gained all the weight back and then some in 15 days. One thing i've learned about weight loss is diets dont work.

I would hardly call that a diet

You drastically and temporarily changed how you ate then reverted back to eating how you always ate before shortly thereafter ( which obviously was poor food choices and very high in fat - probably coupled with over indulgence ) and were surprised when you packed on a bunch of weight ??

Here is my surprised face

That's an awful lot of assumptions.

Well they stated they gained 25lbs in 2 weeks

I doubt they were eating salads and other wholesome foods mainly

Lets be clear about this thread - weight is going to be water and not fat. Losing or gaining a bunch of water in a short period of time is not newsworthy.

I lost 25lbs in a just a few months once. I was trying to lose weight, though still eating quite a bit of junk food at the time. Turns out that I was sick and that was the actual cause of the weight loss. We fixed that problem and the weight came back until I changed my lifestyle to keep it off for good.

The juice diet falls under the definition of diet=Diet - definition of diet by The Free Dictionary
Whats your definition of diet?
Of course like all diets it didnt work but i got overly motivated by the movie.
The post answered the topics title and wasnt intended to get into a debate about the pros and cons of various diets..

I LOST close to 30 lbs in the 2.5 months in a rehab facility for my knee issue..long story and I've posted it elsewhere. It was the pain meds (narcotics) which gave me major loss of appetite, upset stomach, horrid fatigue, and awful constipation, and the oxy drugs I came to find were not much better than ibuprofen FOR ME. Thank goodness I'm off the opiods about 2 months. I plan to keep the lost weight OFF.
