Lost 55 lb.s in a little over 6 weeks...1.5 lbs a day.
I was eating way too unhealthy and reached 200lbs.
I cut all that out, went veg for about a couple of weeks, then started eating meats, fish, fowl. The foods below was pretty much what I ate morn, noon, and night every week.
I ate quite a bit of healthy food, but in small amounts (80-90 times per day?)...literally a bite of protein, a mouthful of a either a carrot and celery mix, or a 10-12 ingredient salad, mouthful each of grapes, watermelon (occasionally cantaloupe too), pasta, faux English muffin pizza, boneless/skinless chicken breast, then proceed to go back to work and let my stomach tell me when to repeat the above.
The trick was to keep the same tiny amount pattern at night and weekends.
Beverage was mostly water w/ occasional cranberry juice.
What also helped was I was working long hours and sought out the most vigorous duties.
In fairness to the OP ... he stated 'weight' not fat
Heck you could take a monstrous dump and lose close to 5lbs in 2 min
Not really, the human body typically on expels less than a pound of fecal matter per day. Even if you had an extremely large bowel movement, it still wouldn't likely come close to two pounds.

When i went back to eating food i gained all the weight back and then some in 15 days. One thing i've learned about weight loss is diets dont work.
Diet's often do work in helping the dieter initially lose weight. Where they fail is in transitioning into a reliable routine to maintain the weight loss.

Nutrisystem works only because it forces the participant into a reduced calorie program. It has nothing to do with the glycemic index (or whatever super secret angle they push). And while I congratulate you on your success, you could have been equally successful managing your calories on your own and not having to pay for the privilege. But (BUT), I really do think it's great that you've found success with a program; sometimes we need the structure that we fail to find on our own.
As for the original poster, in 1984 I peaked at a weight of 350 lbs. As soon as I adjusted my diet to eat responsibly, my body started shedding weight at a rate of just under one pound per day for the first three months. That's not uncommon for morbidly obese people. Once I dipped into the sub-250 lb range the weight loss slowed a bit, closer to a 1-2 lb per week loss.
I was down 49 pounds in 87 days this year. The weigh-in was post 1/2 marathon on a warm Nashville day. Morning weigh-in had me down 38 pounds in 87 days...
I was in the hospital with an NG tube, could not eat or drink anything. The 2nd week, they started me on IV nutrition, and I only lost another 5 lbs.
I've kept most of it off most of the time.
