I came across this video on YouTube. I guess it makes sense that eating a bunch of low calorie soup would help with weight loss. I'm actually shocked that more people don't recommend low calorie soup diets for weight loss. Soups can be very filling and, made the right way, relatively healthy and low calorie.

Has anyone tried this diet or a similar one? Any success trying to lose weight with it?

I didn't watch the video but it looks like the soup I make fairly often, full of cabbage, onions, tomatoes and other good vegetables. I usually add some stew beef. It's a very healthy soup and if you are replacing a less healthy, higher calorie meal, I can see that it would help with your weight loss and health in general.

It's just another eat this instead of normal meal. The easiest way to lost weight is simply eat one less meal a day. You can enjoy a hamburger every day if you simply eat it without eating lunch or breakfast. Most people don't realize that they are consuming over 2000 calories a day by eating breakfast/lunch/dinner. By taking one meal out, you probably shave 500-1000 calories each day which translate to 1-2 lb loss every 3-4 days.

Back years ago the cabbage soup diet was huge and I'm still doing it. Eating a bowl of cabbage soup now for my late breakfast.

I heard of this years ago. I don't use it but most of my meals are VERY heavy on vegetables- mostly stir-fried with spices that add zero calories, and meat only occasionally. I supplement with whole grains and yogurt- have been eating like this for years.

I agree with earlier posters- 15 lbs. in 7 days is not sustainable. Slow and steady wins the race.
