I hope you're rebuilding your gut biome with good probiotics.
Antibiotics kill the nasty bugs making you sick, but also kill off the microbes that help digest your food.

Different types of microbes digest different kinds of food; some specialize in meat, others in carbs, some love veggies.

There's evidence that when you crave something, it's because you have an abundance of the microbes that like that type of food. And when you "lose your taste for it" it's probably because the microbes that like it have dwindled.

Best way to make them dwindle is to give up that food cold turkey. Don't buy more muffins.

Personal experience:
We got two boxes of Sees chocolate for Christmas. We eagerly scarfed down one box in days, but saved the second for Valentine's Day.

I cut way back on carbs, especially sugar, in January. By Valentine's Day, I wasn't even remotely interested in the chocolates. They're still in the fridge.

For some reason, though, I'm really tempted by the meringue cookies my husband brought home. Maybe that's because I eat a lot of eggs. ; )
