But now I'm in a comfortable place. Medium will still look fine on me, even if I lose 15 more lbs or put on some muscle.
WOW!
Congratulations.

I gained 50lbs between 55 and 65. I have always exercised. How I lost it was to stick to 1600 calories a day. 3 years later I still maintain. I am vigilant about not gaining and weighing daily. My back hurts less and I was able to get off one of my two HBP pills.

I really admire the folks who have posted their substantial weight losses and maintenance. It's encouraging and honest.

Being vigilant about weight gain by weighing often seems to be good way to guard against re-gaining the lost weight.

I weigh myself daily and if I see even a small amount of additional weight, I make an effort to eat somewhat less and/or increase the exercise.

Diet-wise I often have meals that are a huge salad (with home-made low-fat dressing) and/or a stir fry using little fat--broth or water can substitute for oil. Both of these with a small amount of chicken and/or nuts added for protein.

Both are filling, healthy and low in calories.

I've maintained an 85-pound weight loss for nearly nine years. I'm 61 and under 5 feet tall.

Loss of inches, lower dress size, even shoe size, different interest in food. Motivation to get to gym is still hard, still achy and loss of steam. Just did blood work again, see Dr next week. Think spring has started I’ll do better, I hate the cold puts me in hibernation mode.
Since July 2022 lost 30 lbs but I’m 4’11.
I really wish could find an exercise buddy. Tonight walking w ex daughter in law. She only likes walking . I love gyms.
