you still see fat? I`m talking about the jiggles.
Would you then want to add weights to your exercise plan?
Right now, I am only using the treadmill. I have lost 18 pounds since Jan.
I also may add that I have 7 more pounds to go.

Honey...I know exactly what you are talking about! I have them...those dreaded jiggles! And for me, that means I'm just cutting back some more. I am NOT going to be jiggling in my bikini this summer!!!
The most effective exercise for burning off calories (in other words, getting rid of the fat!) is cardio. High intensity cardio burns far more calories for the same amount of time spent. Strength training will improve muscle tone and eventually increase the size of your muscles too, which is good! A leaner muscular body will burn more calories than a fatty one. So while I always advocate working out with weights and resistance training, that's not my main focus for fat loss. I say do both...but do the cardio EVERY day, for at least 30 min, an hour if you can.

I hear ya yankeegirl ! I'm doing what you're doing by walking ( i'm doing my walking out in the great outdoors tho ). I have lost 10lbs that way by eating healthy, drinking more water and power walking. When I get closer to my goal, I will start to lift to get the extra pounds off .

If you are into muscles, you can convert the fat into muscle
If you wanna burn the fat totally, then keep the treadmill going. You can throw in a 100 crunches every day. Both these work the abdomen really well, but fat will have to be burnt, crunches only will not produce desired results.
Great work, anyway, we all know how difficult it is to burn fat and still eat what we like to eat
Exactly as human muscle cells and fat cells are totally different cellular structures. I always chuckel when i hear people say that muscle turns to fat in bodybuilders if you stop working out
Review body fat %, BMI guidelines, and check scale for accuracy.
7 pounds can mean a lot visually depending on your frame. When you go to maintain your body fat should lower a bit with increased calories/nutrition.
What are your stats? (age, height, weight, body fat)
Save lifting for when you increase your calories. You can't lose fat and gain muscle at the same time.*
*meaning calorie restriction does not build muscle.
