FAT: What No One Is Telling You . About the Program | PBS

^^^There is a link to info on the show. It is on "watch now" in Netflix if anyone has that. It talks about gastric bypass, has personal stories and a new theory on the digestive area being like "a second brain"

I am writing to say a huge thank you to pitt transplant. This PBS special is AMAZING. I honestly think it should be mandatory watching for everyone...both fat and thin. Having struggled with weight all my life (currently very thin..but who knows how long that will last!), this confirmed so much of what I have always thought of weight issues.

THANK YOU AGAIN.

It seems kinda sad. Like there's no way you can get it off and keep it off.

That's not at all what it said. Did you watch it??

There are extreme cases, for sure. Rocky is one. Go check out Rocky's website to see what happened when he went back on unrestricted eating. He gained 50 pounds in a matter of a few days. For him, staying healthy requires a forced interaction - the lap band. And I think that for the morbidly obese, many of them anyway, that is probably the only solution that will work. It would be nice if they found a drug that does what the surgery does, like the scientist said, but I doubt that will happen.
